Looking back on a year of impact and inspiration
IABC London is fortunate to have the strong support of itsmembers and community, and this support has never been greater than incelebrating the 40th anniversary of the Chapter that we have allbuilt.
To begin our anniversary, we spent the first half of year sharing stories of impact from our engaged members, including many Past Presidents, about the impact that IABC London has had on their careers, and their lives – and the impact that they and our chapter have had on our profession and our community.
Those stories led us into our 40thAnniversary Ruby Jubilee Ruby Jubilee, where we formally commemorated theoccasion with more than 150 members of our community. Joined by founding PresidentDiny Dalby and 15 other Past Presidents, the evening highlights included thenaming of Dr. Christopher Mackie, Chief Medical Officers and CEO of theMiddlesex-London Health Unit as recipient of the 2019 Outstanding CommunicatorAward and comedian Susan Stewart’s performance that filled the room withlaughter.
Following the Ruby Jubilee, the tone of our anniversaryshifted towards Inspiration and weengaged students and young professionals to learn about what inspires themand how they hope to create an inspiring future in the field of communications.
We are grateful to each and every person who contributedtheir time to making our 40th anniversary unforgettable. Inparticular, thank you to Anna Tavener, our 40th Anniversary BoardLiaison, and her volunteers Cassie Dowse and Michelle Paonessa, who brought ourvision to life with creative storytelling. Thank you also to Roxanne Beaubienand her committee for planning our Ruby Jubilee as a focal point of ourcelebrations.
Now, we focus on our attention towards continuing to build astrong Chapter that is committed to supporting our professional development andcareer growth. With the New Year comes new opportunities including the launchof IABC London’s Mentorship Program and the re-launch of the Virtuoso Awards.
Year 41 will be just as inspiring and impactful as any inthe last 40 years. Here’s to our future!
Thank you,

IABC London President
