LASHBROOK MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS
Award of Excellence
Communication Management: Non-profit Campaigns
Project: New Canvas of Life
Lashbrook Marketing& Public Relations won an Award of Excellence for their work on ‘New Canvasof Life,’ an annual fundraising event that supports London Health SciencesCentre’s (LHSC) Multi-Organ Transplant Program.
The team worked pro-bonowith the New Canvas of Life committee to transform the small event to one thatreached a considerably larger audience and produced a significant end result. Lashbrook’s strategic and passion-driven marketingplan successfully positioned New Canvas of Life for long-term success. NewCanvas of Life attracted 450 attendees to the event, achieved a paid socialmedia reach of 25,000, achieved coverage in all major local media, raised over$95,000 and, invaluably, cultivated a community of new supporters. Building onthe success of the first year, the second year of the revamped event raisedover $125,200.
“Our motto is that we don’t win awards, we earn them. This was especially true in our work to support LHSC’s Multi-Organ Transplant Program. The client was amazing to work with and they were open to everything. Laurie’s husband, Doug, received the gift of life from a donor five years ago. So, we have a strong personal connection to their work, and it means a lot that we can give back.”
Tristan Joseph, Senior Strategist at Lashbrook.
This has been an exciting year for the Lashbrook team, who recently merged with RedRhino to become one large team operating under the RedRhino name to offer big agency capabilities with the small agency vibe and responsiveness.
LONDON POLICE SERVICE
Award of Excellence
Communication Management: Internal Communication
Project: ‘Stronger than you Know’ campaign
Roxanne Beaubien of London Police Service won an Award of Excellence for the ‘Stronger than you Know’ campaign. The campaign is an internal mental health initiative designed to increase awareness and understanding about mental wellness and to reduce stigma associated with seeking help when experiencing a mental wellness struggle.
The three-pronged anti-stigma campaigncentred on testimonials from two members with lived experience, messaging fromtrusted leaders and a pledge project for all employees. Tactics includedvideos, a microsite, posters, magnets and a launch event.
A post-campaign survey proved the campaign’s successin reducing stigma, improving opinions about those with mental wellness issuesand influencing some to seek help if they were to experience a mental healthchallenge.
“Without the strength of those willing to tell their stories to help others, this campaign would not have had such a positive impact. It is such an honour to receive this recognition, particularly for this campaign which is very near and dear to my heart.”
Roxanne Beaubien, Manager of Corporate Communications and Media Relations at London Police Service.
