A Message from Your Co-Presidents

We are in the process of bringing IABC Waterloo and IABC London together to form one stronger chapter: IABC Southwestern Ontario. We are so excited about what this means for our community and wanted to share a quick update.

As we step into the 2025–26 board year, our focus is on laying the groundwork for a smooth transition. In the months ahead, there will be opportunities for you to get involved through virtual town halls, surveys and other touchpoints so we can ensure member priorities are at the centre of our plans. Your input will help shape the chapter we are building together.

We also want to let you know that we are pausing the Virtuoso Awards this year. This decision was not made lightly. Virtuoso has been IABC London’s signature awards program for many years. But pressing pause gives us the space to focus our energy on the amalgamation process. Recognition is still an important part of IABC and we encourage you to explore other opportunities such as the Silver Leaf and Gold Quill Awards.

Thank you for your continued support as we move through this exciting time. Together, we are creating something bigger, bolder and more connected for communicators across Southwestern Ontario.

Warmly,

Jessica Rabaey and Patricia Wilkinson-Bizjak
