We’re seeking a passionate and driven Communications Advisor to help shape meaningful connections through strategic communication.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-paced, award-winning team recognized for its excellence in internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, media relations, digital strategy, and marketing.

In this role, you will support communications initiatives for Bluewater Health and the Sarnia-Lambton Ontario Health Team (SL-OHT). You will plan and deliver communication strategies, support media and public relations, and help us tell the stories that matter most - those of our people, our patients, and our partners.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field (required)
• Post-graduate certificate/diploma in public relations or corporate communications (preferred)
• Membership in IABC or CPRS (preferred)

Skill, Ability and Experience:
• 3-5 years’ experience in communications, journalism, or related field
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences
• Strong project management skills and comfort working on multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency with digital platforms including social media, content management systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Canva
• Creative and resourceful approach to problem-solving and storytelling
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners
• Commitment to professionalism, service excellence, and upholding Bluewater Health’s values in all communications

Principal Duties:
• Develop and execute communications plans, tactics, and materials tailored to a variety of audiences and platforms
• Support projects, campaigns, and events through writing, editing, content creation, and project coordination
• Lead digital storytelling and community engagement through social media platforms
• Write and distribute news releases and media advisories; coordinate media interviews and speaking notes
• Design, produce, and oversee communications materials—including photography, videography, newsletters, brochures, graphics, and event collateral
• Uphold the Bluewater Health and Sarnia-Lambton OHT brands in all communications
• Provide communications support for SL-OHT initiatives in collaboration with healthcare and community partners
