IABC London's Virtual Learning Series: Beat the Burnout

Looking for more personal and professional balance in your life?

As communications professionals, we’re often on the frontline of issues and crises. Join IABC London for a lunch-hour virtual learning session to gain insight and strategies on how to address communications-related pressures and mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma.

Maud Coca, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, and Clinical Director & Founder of COCA Psychotherapy, will open the session and address various ways in which we can gain self-awareness and learn strategies to aid us in managing difficult emotions and pressures, and ultimately create balance in our lives.

Patricia Hoffer, Chief Communications Officer at St. Joseph's Health Care London, will address the pressures we face being communications professionals on the frontline of issues and crises. She'll speak to her experience leading crisis communications throughout the pandemic, as well as the communications issues we continue to face today with global events. She'll share examples and strategies on how to address certain comms-related pressures and how to mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma.

This interactive session will allow for questions and commentary.
