On June 24, southwestern Ontario’s communications community will come together to celebrate the best in communication, marketing and creative strategy from the past two years!

Our profession has been front and centre during an incredibly difficult time, and it’s time to recognize our achievements. Join us for a virtual as we celebrate the recipients of:

  • the 2021 Virtuoso Awards, including this year’s Best of the Best
  • the Outstanding Communicator Award and Communications Champion Award
  • the Western Continuing Studies Public Relations Student Award of Excellence
  • the Canada Life Student Award of Excellence: Public Relations – Corporate Communications, Fanshawe College
  • the Canada Life Leadership Award: Public Relations – Corporate Communications, Fanshawe College
  • The Marketing Department (TMD) Award for Academic Excellence in Graphic Design: Graphic Design Advanced Diploma Program, Fanshawe College

  • Date and time: Thursday, June 24, 2021
    • 6:30 – 6:55 p.m. – Pre-show Virtual Red Carpet: Join us starting at 6:30 p.m. for our pre-show virtual red carpet! Say “hi” to the other attendees, do a bit of networking, and show off your Virtuoso fashion. Feel free to drop in anytime from 6:30 to 6:55 p.m. and stay for as long (or as little) as you like. Everyone who registers for Virtuoso will receive the link to join the red carpet.
    • 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  – Virtuoso Awards Celebration
  • Host: Rebecca Zandbergen, host of CBC’s London Morning
  • Ticket prices:
    • Members – $35/ticket
    • Non-members – $45/ticket
    • Students – $20/ticket
    • Group of 10 – $300/group

Event Host: Rebecca Zandbergen

London Morning host Rebecca Zandbergen has been with the CBC for 20 years, having worked in CBC stations all over the country from Halifax to Iqaluit to Ottawa.

She’s also taught journalism – most recently at Carleton University. She’s also taught at the National University in Rwanda and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa. She’s also filed radio documentaries for CBC Radio from Rwanda and South Africa.

Rebecca grew up in rural Ontario and today lives with her husband and three children.
