IABC HEARTS STUDENTS – A crash course in connecting with your community

  • 06:00 PM
  • TapRoot, 623 Dundas Street (above Root Cellar)

Dear Students, you are the future of our communications profession, and IABC takes very seriously our responsibility of helping smoothen your transition from student life to career professional.

Dear Professionals, you were all there – that moment when you were anticipating the end of the school year and the butterflies that you felt about your next step.

Tuesday, March 28th brings both groups together!

IABC is presenting a night geared to connecting students with the London community: join us above The Root Cellar for a night of targeted networking opportunities between students and communications veterans. Students will have a chance to circle through the room and get answers to the most pressing questions about how to “make your break” in the industry. Industry professionals, this is your chance to share your knowledge with people who could be working with you one day!

And… if that doesn’t sound like a fun night… there’s more:

This evening is all about connecting with your community – and to hear a case study on the value of that connection, IABC is inviting Jeff Pastorius, founder and co-owner of On The Move Organics, and co-founder/co-owner of The Root Cellar and London Brewing Co-op, to tell us how they have led the re-invigoration of London’s Old East Village by becoming a community hub.

Light, local artisan nibblies and a cash bar will be open for your enjoyment at one of London’s coolest venues! This is a night you won’t want to miss!

Register before sign-up closes on Friday, March 24th at 3 p.m.
