Seven local projects recognized with national Silver Leaf Awards

Seven local communications projects from five organizations have been recognized on the national stage through IABC Canada’s Silver Leaf Awards. Held annually, Silver Leaf is Canada’s premier professional awards program celebrating excellence in business communications. It is aligned directly to IABC’s global Gold Quill Awards and IABC London’s Virtuoso Awards.

“There is exceptional communications talent in southwestern Ontario with local professionals upholding the global standard and innovating in the profession. We are thrilled to see so many professionals recognized on the national stage,” says Robert DeLaet, 2021/22 IABC London President. “Congratulations to all of this year’s Silver Leaf Awards winners.”

The winners are:

  • Ivey Business School at Western University (Adele Huffman, Ron Gallagher, Olivia D’Onofrio, Ivan Langrish, Dawn Milne, Lauren Bak, Gabe Ramos, Chris Hansen) – Ivey’s New Accelerated MBA Program Launch (Award of Merit, Marketing Communication)
  • London Health Sciences Centre (Laura Goncalves, Michele Martin) – Continuity of Essential Health Services during COVID-19 Pandemic (Award of Excellence, COVID-19 Response & Recovery Management and Communication)
  • Children’s Health Foundation (Rebecca Milec, Miranda Scotland, Megan Vandekerckhove) – Stand By Me: A Campaign for Children’s Hospital (Award of Merit, Non-profit Campaigns)
  • Children’s Health Foundation (Megan Vandekerckhove) – Children’s Health Foundation Website Redesign (Award of Merit, Digital Communication Channels)
  • Bluewater Health (Julia Oosterman) – Cheyenne’s Story (Award of Merit, Audio Visual)
  • Fanshawe College (Gillian Sneddon, Elaine Gamble, Courtney Ecker, Megan Zinn, Brad Kerr, Brandy Huxley, Andrea Ayala) – Innovation Village Case for Support (Award of Merit, Publications)
  • Fanshawe College (Dave Schwartz, Elaine Gamble, Kathy Nahwegahbow, Julia Westelaken, Joanna Dales, Brandy Huxley, Cory Downing) – 2020 President’s Breakfast (Award of Excellence, Special Events – Internal)
