The hype is true. The Virtuoso Awards Gala is southwestern Ontario’s most prestigious event for communications and creative professionals. This year, the 90s are making a comeback as we celebrate 20 years of Virtuoso. Come get jiggy with us on June 4, 2015, as we remember the era that brought us cultural phrases like whassup, da bomb and as if!

The Gala is a night to honour the professionals who have scored top marks on magazine cover design, hit it home with an exceptional social media campaign or planned and executed an off-the hook event that had people talking for days. To keep it real – the Virtuoso Awards recognize the brilliant strategic communicators that help raise the profile of our profession in our community and around the world.

Natalie Little-Rowe walked away with a Best of the Best award in 2014 on behalf of ON Communication. In her opinion, the appeal of winning a Virtuoso Award was the thrill of knowing her work is being recognized and measured by her peers. “[Our peers] truly understand what goes into strategic communications and achieving goals,” says Little-Rowe.

She explains that winning a Virtuoso Award has come to be an achievement that many communications professionals work their way towards. “A few years back, I was nominated for a Best of the Best Award for news release writing, but did not end up winning. Since then, it has been a personal career goal I have wanted to achieve. I am beyond proud that I was part of the team at ON Communication to achieve this goal,” says Little-Rowe.

June 4 will be a night to celebrate the people who make our profession “all that and a bag of chips”. So dust off your Jordans, put on your bling bling and let’s have a hella good time… aiight?
