Back on board: The family business behind the Virtuoso statuettes

Categories: News

The name may be different but that has not changed the vision of one of IABC London’s long-time supporters.

The London-based Nothers Signs & Recognition recently acquired the Toronto-based The Awards Store and has rebranded to reflect the increased diversity of its expanded product line. Now called Nothers The Awards Store, the focus of the family-owned company remains the same according to its president, Jim Nother.

“I was inspired to continue the work of my dad because I saw the opportunity to advise customers on how to present, choose, design, customize and display their recognition pieces, says Nother.

“The opportunity to purchase The Awards Store allowed us to grow our capabilities to meet the needs of our corporate and sports clients across Canada.”

Started by his father more than 50 years ago, Nothers’ vision is to provide its clients with a memorable experience through providing photo-worthy promotional and recognition items to make any occasion special. While the company serves clients across the country, their focus is local – something that shines through in its commitment to supporting organizations such as IABC London.

As the winner of the prestigious Consumer Choice Award in the promotional category for both London and Toronto for six years running, the team of 20 is committed to continuous improvement and excellence. Nothers offers a large assortment of designed pieces including crystal and acrylic awards, plaques, custom medals, banners, promotional products, signage and more.

“Chances are that if you have a Virtuosos Award recognizing your work, it was made by Nothers and its team,” says Roxanne Beaubien, IABC London president-elect. “For more than a decade, they have been an incredible supporter and we are hopeful that our members will look to Nothers for any awards or promotional items, and tell them IABC London sent them.”

Cherie Gfroerer, Nothers’ marketing and customer service supervisor, says they support organizations that align with the company’s objectives. “We have a great relationship with IABC London and want to make everyone involved successful.”

Nothers has supported the Virtuoso Awards for 15 years and is proud to once again provide the awards for the 2020 event as a Silver Sponsor for the event on June 11, 2020. It is a partnership that Jim Nother values.

“Thank you to IABC London and their members for including us in their special events and we wish you all the very best as IABC London grows and develops,” he said.
