The Communications & Projects Coordinator is responsible for designing the internal and external communication strategies of the Health Centre. Working as part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, this role will also help execute various projects across the organization and help maintain strong communication with our key stakeholders and community. The candidate with the right initiative will have the opportunity to help shape system-wide transformational projects.

• Ability to work with diverse communities with respect, sensitivity, creativity, innovation, cultural understanding, and non-judgement
• Knowledge in web/social media analytics and reporting
• Project coordination, evaluation, and systems planning an asset
• Understanding of public relations, community engagement, and storytelling
• Comfort in being the first point of contact for media requests
• Extensive political savvy
• French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve

• Post-secondary degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field
• 3 + years of relevant work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Comfort working with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Office 365, content management tools, and project management tools (MS Teams, Asana)
• Strong ability to engage diverse communities via social media
• Ability to be resourceful and take initiative
• Knowledge of and commitment to community health and health equity
• Awareness and understanding of the social determinants of health and health promotion
