Virtuoso Award Divisions
This is a call for all communicators to stand up and be heard.
There are three award divisions. Select the best fit and indicate the category name and number on your entry form. You may enter as many categories as many times as you like. Use a separate entry form for each submission.
Division 1: Communication management programs
Includes projects, programs and campaigns defined by a communication plan as well as a full range of a communicator’s management skills: research, strategy, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Note: Individual elements of a communication program, such as brochures, web sites and newsletters, can also be entered in the Communication Skills and Communication Creative divisions.
Division 1 entries will be evaluated by judges from IABC Newfoundland and Labrador and IABC Golden Horseshoe.
Written entry: four typed pages
Evaluation: 50 per cent work plan, 50 per cent work sample
Division 2: Communication Skills
Encompasses communication activities that may or may not be part of a larger communication program. This division recognizes the importance of goals and results but emphasizes tactics and execution.
Division 2 entries will be evaluated by judges from IABC Newfoundland and Labrador and IABC Golden Horseshoe.
Written Entry: two typed pages
Evaluation: 40 per cent work plan, 60 per cent work sample
Division 3: Communication Creative
This category emphasizes creative talent and design that also perform communicative functions. Entrants must demonstrate innovation, creativity, strategic alignment with an organization’s business goals and effective visual communication.
Division 3 entries will be evaluated by members of RGD Ontario in Toronto.

Evaluation: 20 per cent work plan, 80 per cent work sample
