Jen has sung for the Pope, taught English in South Korea, and was this close to becoming a veterinarian. Instead, she relegated animal-rescue to hobby status and started her communications career at Lashbrook Marketing & Public Relations. There she developed a passion for working with non-profit organizations and moved into the sector full time with United Way London & Middlesex, helping tell the stories of lives that have been changed by a generous community that sees potential and possibility. On the hunt for new experiences, she joined the marketing communications team at London Life. After several years of product communications, Jen returned to her passion and now manages community investment and employee community engagement for Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life, with a focus on communities in Ontario and Quebec.
Jen has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from King’s University College at Western University and a Certificate in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from Fanshawe College. As part of an advisory committee of colleagues far more experienced than her, Jen helped establish the Western Continuing Studies Public Relations Diploma Program and taught Communications in the Non-Profit Sector in the early years of the program.
