September is the new January. Or, at least, that’s how it feels to me.
In September, students head back to school, days get shorter and the weather starts to change. Most of us are back at work and summer vacation is already a distant memory.
September also marks the beginning for the 2016/17 IABC London board and kicks off our professional development events calendar. (In case the start of the new football season isn’t your thing.)
We’ve assembled a talented team of dedicated volunteers this year who will build upon:
- Record membership growth
- Strong student evolvement
- A solid financial position
- A history of community support
- Our popular local awards program
- Sold out PD events
This year, IABC London is committed to supporting the professional development of our members with a greater emphasis on member‐only events. Stay tuned.
Our first open event of the season is on Tuesday, September 20 at 5:30pm with Innovation Works co-founder Michelle Baldwin. She will share behind-the-scenes insights into the Centre’s successful launch, fundraising strategy and branding. If you don’t have your tickets yet, they are only $20 for IABC members.
We are still looking to fill a couple of board positions. If you are looking to get involved – we would love to hear from you. Please send a message to Londonfirstname.lastname@example.org or direct message us on Twitter @iabclondon.
2016/17 is going to be a great year for IABC London. Now, about those New Year resolutions…
