Keith Brooks, ABC - Accreditation

A member of IABC since 1997, Keith has served on the Executive Board since 1999 in various portfolios including Web, Membership, Communications, Finance and as President of the 2006-2007 Board. He actively volunteers in his church community. Keith has been recognized for his communications work with an IABC London Virtuoso Award of Merit, Awards of Excellence and IABC's Silver Leaf Award of Excellence (Canada).

Keith held a variety of positions at the Canada Revenue Agency (formerly Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and Revenue Canada) prior to beginning his communications career as a Public Relations Officer in 1989.

He subsequently held the positions of Chief of Public Affairs and Manager, Communications. Media relations, issues and crisis management and internal communications, particularly relating to the intranet, were his primary focus until September 2005. At that time, he began an assignment as the Policy and Governance Advisor for a national project team responsible for renewing CRA's intranet.

Keith is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario, holding a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree and completed the requirements for a Professional Certificate in Communications and Public Relations at Western in 2002. He earned his Accredited Business Communicator designation in 2007.
