Awards (Student program)
- IABC London Award: The University of Western Ontario: Established in 1988 as the John Burke-Gaffney Award for Organizational Communications, this award was renamed in 2007 and opened to Western students registered in the public relations diploma program or a communications-related course in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Faculty of Information and Media Studies, the Faculty of Social Science or the Richard Ivey School of Business. Sponsored by IABC London, the $500 award recognizes a Western student who demonstrates aptitude and interest in corporate communications and public relations. Congratulations to:

of Excellence: Corporate Communications & Public Relations, FanshaweCollege:This annual award is given to the highest
achieving student in the Corporate Communication and Public Relations
Ontario Graduate Certificate Program at Fanshawe College. The recipient
will receive a $500 award. The College selects the student based on the
highest grades attained during the intensive eight-month program.

- London Life/IABC Leadership
Award: Corporate Communications & Public Relations, Fanshawe College:The recipient is a student who has strong
leadership skills, is a team player, and demonstrates competency in all
aspects of communication. The recipient is awarded a $500 award. The student’s
peers in the Corporate Communication and Public Relations Ontario Graduate
Certificate Program nominated the recipient and a committee reviewed and
selected the award winner. Congratulations to:

- Seed Academic Excellence Award
for Outstanding Peformance: Graphic Design Program, Fanshawe College:
Each Spring, London’s graphic design community
is flooded with a fresh wave of eager emerging talent from the Graphic
Design Program at Fanshawe College. To promote this new talent and the
continued cross-pollination of entities like IABC-Virtuoso, RGD Ontario
and Fanshawe College with local industry, this award has been established
to recognize outstanding achievement in the Graphic Design Program by
a third year student. It is awarded to a student who has demonstrated
the highest overall academic performance, selected by faculty administrators
at Fanshawe College and will receive a $500 award.
